Society for Industrial Applied Mathematics
The Society for Industrial Applied Mathematics is an organization on campus that provides student and faculty interaction within the science and engineering departments. Students are given the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in applied mathematics, computational science and engineering. SIAM is and international community with over 14,000 individual members and 500 academic, manufacturing, research and development, service and consulting organizations, government, and military organizations worldwide are institutional members. The U of A Student Chapter of SIAM is an organization aimed at enriching the learning environment and opportunities of students through mathematics, science and engineering.
